About us

Meet the founders

Tiffany Daniel + Camille Backer

Our story began with a powerful connection—two Black women navigating burnout, grief and isolation, finding solace in community.

In the summer of 2023, Camille launched the Black Women’s Wellness Community, which has since grown to over 400 members. It was within this community that we met for the first time, seeking and finding healing alongside other Black women.

We quickly recognised the profound need for a physical space where Black and Brown women could be at the centre of wellness experiences that truly reflect their cultural and social identities.

  • Community

Bridged exists because we want to emphasise community and create an ecosystem that promotes healing, joy, and self-expression.

  • Diversity

Unapologetically providing opportunities for Black and brown people, and giving them a space to share themselves in community.

  • Belonging

We are committed to acting with compassion and kindness, creating both a space and a movement where people can see and be themselves, have psychological safety, and feel part of something bigger.

  • Visibility

Visibility is hugely important for all of us. Having increased visibility helps remove barriers to inclusion, rewards individuality, and shifts us away from a monolithic paradigm.

  • Collaboration

True change happens through collaboration. We bring together wellness practitioners, changemakers, grassroots organisers, creatives, and community builders to drive meaningful impact and create lasting experiences.

  • Wellness

Wellness is a right, not a privilege. We are democratising wellbeing, making it more easily accessible and affordable to Black and brown women. We all deserve a space where we can heal, grow, and thrive.

We're on a mission to redefine the wellness landscape; offering a space that prioritises the unique cultural and social needs of Black and Brown communities.
